Step 3 - Create Policy

• Click 'How-to' > 'Set up your network to Secure Internet Gateway' > 'Next' > 'Next' to open this step.

Step 3 shows which rules you can build and how to attach them to the network in a policy.

You can create the rules you need, then bind them to the network.

Create the rules you need

Once your network is added, you can create:

• Category Rules ('Configure' > 'Category Rules' > 'Create Category Rule') - define rules for blocking or allowing domain categories.
  
  
• B/W Lists ('Configure' > 'B/W Lists' > 'Create B/W List') - create custom blacklists and whitelists.

Create the policy

1. Click 'Configure' > 'Policy'.
   
   
2. Click 'Add New Policy'.
   
   
3. Type a name and select the network under 'Objects'.
   
   
4. Click 'Next'.
   
   
5. Select a Security Rule. You must select at least the Default Security Rule.
   
   
6. Select a Category Rule if you want one. You can leave it empty as long as a Security Rule is selected.
   
   
7. Tick any Domain B/W Lists you want to apply. 'Only B/W Mode' disables the Security and Category Rules.
   
   
8. Click 'Add'.
